"Strives to Bring Yoga into Everyday Life"

Alexia is a freelance fashion stylist for adverts and film, a graphic designer and now a yoga teacher.

Alexia studied Hatha yoga at Akasha Yoga Academy in Ubud, Bali and got her 200 RTY in 2018. She also completed a SUP yoga course in Sanur, Bali in 2018. Growing up in Mauritius meant that she spent a blissful childhood in her happy place, the ocean. Therefore practising yoga on the sea for her is just magical.

She first got into yoga for self discovery and healing and had no intention of becoming a yoga teacher. However, isn’t it incredible how our life paths can suddenly change direction? It was on a flight home from a month’s yoga retreat in Bali that she realized that she wanted to teach yoga and share the amazing benefits of yoga with everyone. She wants to inspire and positively impact the lives of other people.

She loves sunsets, coconuts, being barefoot, travelling, stand up paddling with her dog Lola, walking in nature, enjoying the beauty and experiences this world has to offer and, most of all, family has a huge importance in her life.

In the future she hopes to host yoga retreats in Mauritius and around the world. Alexia has also recently become interested in furthering her yoga studies in order to help cancer patients. She is looking into doing a course this year, 2019. She strives to bring yoga into everyday life by doing, evolving and truly living it, allowing joy and peace to flourish within and spread to others!

Alexia's favorite outfit is the Dreamer Top and Hope Capris in Sweet Dreams. She says when she wears it just feels amazing, it's so comfortable and the pattern is beautiful and refreshing. I also love the fact that Mona is sustainable, so when I wear my Mona outfit I feel inspired and hope to inspire others as well.
